The Magic Makers: Celine & Her Little Creators

In a tiny town tucked away somewhere in Germany, a world of color, DIYs, and glitter quietly comes to life. It’s the world of Celine (@celinebukulow), content creator, kidswear stylist — and mom to Apollonia (4) and Dali (almost 2).

Celine’s home is one of those places where imagination always finds a way to sneak into the day. She creates the sets for her photo shoots herself, designs campaigns and lookbooks for brands, and fills her world with little bursts of creativity. Naturally, her daughters grew into this rhythm too — learning that “play” can be anything you make with your own two hands.

“Because I’m always making something, my daughters have become super creative too,” Celine says. “We do a lot of arts and crafts together — like building our own cardboard theatre, or our latest project, something special for Maison Mangostan.”

For their latest project, the three of them turned their living room into a stage.
Armed with scissors, glue, and a mountain of recycled cardboard, they built an entire puppet theatre, complete with hand-painted boots, hats, and little outfits inspired by our Fall/Winter ‘25 collection.

The real star of the show? Our cowboy boots, of course — especially the pink ones, which Apollonia proudly declared “the number one thing on her Christmas list.”
So, they cut them out of cardboard, painted them, and added — naturally — a lot of glitter ✨

Soon enough, every piece of Maison Mangostan had its cardboard twin — all transformed into dancing puppets under the warm glow of their handmade theatre lights.

But the creativity doesn’t stop there.

As the seasons turn, Celine and her girls are already planning their next adventures — birthday decorations, collage-style postcards made from vintage magazines, a giant cardboard gingerbread house, oversized candy canes… you name it.

Ever since becoming a mother, she says, this time of year has become her favorite.
And it’s easy to see why: In her world, every box can become a stage, and every ordinary afternoon has the potential to turn extraordinary.

At Maison Mangostan, we love seeing our world interpreted through this lens — creative, hands-on, and endlessly curious. It’s the kind of play that makes a mess, but fills a room with wonder.

Because in her home — much like in ours — imagination isn’t an activity. It’s a way of life.
